DEGREES OF DONENESS FOR STEAKS

The degree of steak doneness is a matter of taste: some like bloody, while other prefer well done meat. Follow our tips regarding common degrees and respective cooking times and choose your perfect one. For a standard 3 cm steak: Raw – 1 minute on each side Rare – 2-3 minutes on each side, 3 minutes to rest Medium Rare – 3-4 minutes on each side, 4 minutes to rest Medium – 4-5 minutes on each side, 5 minutes to rest Medium Well – 5 minutes on each side, 5 minutes to rest Well Done – 6 minutes on each side, 6 minutes to rest
